NEW KINGSTON RAIDERS NETBALL CLUB

News

Our long awaiting Fundraising Raffle drawing took place on  Saturday, April 12, 2008 at LOJ, Complex, New Kingston at 6:00.
 
There were lots of  prizes, music and also a inter-club netball competition was held where the teams were mixed and split into two team Red and White where the Red team came out on top by just 1 point (24-25)....it was an excited and very competive game as it went into over time before a winner was crowned.
 
The MVP for the evening was Yanique Junor.  A prize was also given the person who sold the most raffle tickets, and that prize went to Taygene Douglas (Munchie).
 
Congrats Ladies....we look forward to a rematch next year.

NKR has two teams participating in the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) Competition

The two teams entering in the Division 'B' League:  For the last nine years this league has been sponsored by Western Union, which falls under the umbrella of Grace Kennedy Money Services. This is usually the largest of the Divisional Leagues and sometimes has as many as thirty teams participating. 

The teams have both displayed character and some very exiting netball.

Let’s hope they can continue their drive to the finals.

Season recommences February 19th.

 

The teams are currently working hard as a squad every Monday, Thursday and Saturday night at the LOJ Parking Lot netball courts.

Training is between 6:30pm to 9pm.

Coaches are very impressed with the commitment displayed by all players so far and look forward to an exiting and challenging season.
