Club Policy |
Fair play demonstrates
attitudes and behavior in sport consistent with the belief that sport is an ethical pursuit. Fair play describes the right
attitudes of sportsmen and sportswomen and the right spirit in which they conduct themselves, showing respect for the other
and care for his or her freedom from bodily or psychological harm.
Code
of Ethics for Players
Players shall:
a) respect the right of
all other players, coaches, umpires, administrators and other officials to participate in netball regardless of ethnic origins,
cultural and religious background, colour, political affiliation and creed.
b) play in the true spirit
and within the rules of the game
c) display high standards
of behaviour which promote a positive image for the game.
Code
of Ethics for Coaches
Coaches shall:
a) protect the right of
every player to participate in the game regardless of race, colour or creed
b) ensure that confidentiality
with players is maintained
c) respect the spirit of
the game
d) respect the rights of
opponents to play the game, of the officials and the administrators to participate in netball and of other coaches
e) maintain coaching standards
of the highest level
f) promote a positive image
to players, other coaches, officials, administrators and the public at large
g) encourage fair play.

Administrators and Officials
shall:
a) protect and respect
the rights of players, coaches, umpires and officials to participate in netball regardless of race, colour or creed.

others to be treated with respect
c) strive to improve efficiency
d) create an atmosphere
which encourages fair play
e) display high standards
of behavior
f) promote a positive image
to all
g) promote and develop
the game by sharing knowledge and experience

the responsibilities of the Team Captains:

Training is conducted at the LOJ Parking Lot Netball Court, in New Kingston Club training night is Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Most training sessions run for
2 to 2.5 hours with a mixture of fitness, skill development, team plays and practice games
